Management Board

Time Banking Wales is governed by a Management Board which comprises a wealth of professional talent across a broad spectrum that includes former partners and representatives from third sector agencies, public service bodies and academic institutes.

The Management Board determines the mission and objectives of Time Banking Wales, oversees its activities, and is responsible for the management and administration of the finances. Professional members form a majority of the composition of the Board, contributing objectivity, and providing expertise to represent the interests of Time Banking Wales.

The Board Members

Tris Dyson: Chair

  • Founder - Spice Innovations Ltd.
  • Joint Project Co-ordinator - Wales Institute for Community Currencies.
  • Before moving to Wales, Tris was employed as interim Grant manager for "V" the Russell Commission Implementation body in England. He has experience of conducting strategic reviews and logistic planning.
  • Taught Geography and History at Lea Valley High School, London as part of the Teach First Leadership Programme after studying B.Sc. Hons in Geography.

Richard Morgan: Treasurer

  • Director of Valleys Kids for 30 years, managing a two million pound turnover per annum, employing 47 members of staff.
  • Chair - Canllaw Online.
  • Founding Chair of Rhondda Cynon Taff Community Arts.
  • Chair - Valleys Community Arts Festival.
  • Previously the Chair of South East Wales Arts Association.

Becky Booth: Secretary

  • Programme Co-ordinator - Spice Innovations Ltd.
  • Community Development Worker - Wales Institute for Community Currencies.
  • Successfully developed community programmes in the UK, Africa and Papua New Guinea.
  • Completed an MSc Econ Social Development Planning & Management at University of Wales, Swansea with comprehensive training in statistical methods, monitoring and evaluation.

Dawn Davies: Director

  • Welsh Assembly Government's nominated Trustee to the Coalfields Regeneration Trust.
  • Chief Executive of Creation Development Trust, with a financial turnover of ½ million pounds, employing 25 people per annum.
  • 21 years experience in developing sustainable community enterprises.
  • Chair - Garw Valley Regeneration Forum for 2 years (currently Treasurer)
  • Director - Community Enterprise Wales.
  • Director - Development Trust Association Wales.
  • Received Mayor's Special Award for Services to the Community.
  • Graduated with Honours in Enterprise from the University of Glamorgan.

Jenny O'Hara-Jakeway : Director

  • Communities First Co-ordinator – Glyncoch, supporting the community partnership development, regeneration strategy and providing line management for staff.
  • Experienced researcher and has worked with NGOs in Asia, Laos and Northern India.
  • Completed an MSc Regeneration Studies at Cardiff, University.

Management

Time Banking Wales' Chief Executive was the co-founder of the Project Management Team securing European Regional Development Funds to develop a five year programme (WICC), exploring the use of community time currencies in various settings.
